IGA Maroochydore opened in 2007 and was taken over by Saul and Trudi Fernandez in November of 2011. The store was immediately relayed to increase range and introduce new departments inclduing gourmet/gluten free products and a new level of customer service! As part of the IGA Buying Group, Australia’s largest independent supermarket network, we have the scale needed to offer IGA Maroochydore’s customers with the choice of an extensive product range at competitive prices whilst remaining independently owned and operated.
About the Owners
Saul and Trudi Fernandez purchased their first IGA store in the Brisbane suburb of Tingalpa. After a renovation the store became very much a hub of the local community and a great success. Seeking a ‘Sea Change’ Saul and Trudi sold the business to purchase IGA Maroochydore and move their family to the Sunshine Coast.
